Hello! Welcome to my website and welcome to an exciting new approach to re-mediate learning challenges while fostering strengths and encouraging a positive outlook on learning.
My passion in education and learning facilitation began as a sessional instructor in the Nursing programs at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal. My focus shifted to a younger population and into areas of dyslexia, learning disabilities and attention disorders as my three children began school. It was discovered each of my children had learning challenges and each were diagnosed with different learning issues. In seeking assistance, I came across cookie cutter learning programs that did not fully fit my children's needs and band-aid accommodations that did not solve the underlying learning issues. I knew there had to be alternatives. As a parent, I looked beyond the diagnoses identifying the strengths, gifts and immense aptitudes of each of my children. I saw great potential and I believed in their success. And so my journey began.
It became my mission to understand the etiology behind learning difficulties such as such as dyslexia and attention disorders as well as some of the symptomatic outcomes resulting in issues of self-esteem, motivation, and behavioral problems. I have been committed to discover methods to support different learning styles for success both within the classroom and out. I have learned that each person and each challenge is unique and multi-faceted and must be approached as such. And so, the idea bringing the pieces of learning together into holistic, individualized programs came to be.
Mosaic Learning solutions is the program I wish was available when I was seeking answers and assistance. I am thrilled to offer such a program for the unique learners of my community and look forward to committing myself to the success of each client that comes through my doors.
